Biography
Dr. Zaksas has graduated from Novosibirsk State University and completed her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry with specialization in Atomic Emission Spectrometry at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences. The present position in this institute is Senior Researcher. Among her research interests are the development of impurity concentration methods for spectral analysis of high purity substances and the study of excitation mechanisms in different analytical plasmas. Her current research has been focused on the developing atomic emission spectroscopy with a high-power two-jet plasma being a promising excitation source for analysis of various solid samples. She is closely cooperating with the company “VMK-Optoelektronika†developing a new powerful plasmatron.
Research Area
Atomic emission spectrometry, two-jet plasma, excitation mechanisms, high-purity substances, environmental samples, participation in biomedical interdisciplinary research on the biological role of metals in living organisms.
